Couple Boudoir Photoshoot - The Spiciest Alternative to Date Night?

Dare to Bare Together?

Got your attention there didn't I! Have you ever thought about swapping your standard dinner and a movie for a Couple Boudoir Photoshoot? You probably haven't! I have had the most amazing privilege to have now shot multiple Boudoir sessions with couples and I have got the bug for them. These shoots are a fantastic way of making space to connect intimately with your partner and experience something that not only brings you together, but boosts your confidence while giving you long lasting memories. In this blog I'm going to be talking about the why behind booking a photoshoot together and also how to prep together for your session.

Why would we book a Couple Boudoir Photoshoot?

This is a perfect question and one that I can answer in multiple ways, but I'll break it down into a few key points that I have personally experienced through seeing others go through their shoot together.

1) They are a fantastic way to celebrate your love! Whether you're celebrating a big anniversary, a post wedding shoot, a pre-wedding shoot or that you're simply looking for more raw expression of your love story so far, these shoots are designed to harness connection and communication.

2) Making yourselves feel more confident! These shoots, while you are in your underwear, are not just about sensuality. They're designed with empowerment and confidence boosting in mind. The heart of my business is to lift others up through promoting empowerment and I love that I get to bring that to these special photoshoots.

3) Creating memories together! This is no ordinary date night - When was the last time you spent time together picking out sexy outfits and getting glammed up to spend the day/evening simply in each others company? With no mobile phones, no distractions, with the opportunity to fully commit to being together, while creating memories you can literally keep forever.

How to prepare for your Couple Boudoir Photoshoot?

So you've decided to book, now what? Here's a run down on what I think you need to do in the run up to your session, up until the point that we start shooting!

1) Communication is key - Before your session, have a chat with each other about what you are and are not comfortable displaying at your shoot. With firm guidelines in place beforehand, your shoot will run much smoother. Equally, communicate with me, before your session, I will have a very honest conversation with you both about what you're comfortable with as a couple and about my own boundaries as your photographer and as a person! I want the studio to be a safe space for us all, so if we keep the lines of communication open, we'll be on to a winner!

2) Outfits - Definitely a fun part of planning your couple boudoir photoshoot right! What you pick can massively emphasise the mood that your shoot will have, but it's also really great to have those personality pieces that make you shine as individuals. My advice to anyone who comes in for a session, is to make sure what you're bringing fits you really well and also makes you feel fantastic. Your images will already be at an elevated level if you do this, because you'll already be feeling confident about the choices you've made.

3) Grooming - I have a glam team who I know full well can do hair and make up to make you feel amazing, but I also encourage that on the run up to your shoot, you spend time loving on yourself! Whether that's going to the barbers, booking in a massage, getting your nails done, getting a wax! Use your session as the biggest reason to really make the run up a self love experience.

4) Set the scene - I have a beautiful studio space, that I offer as part of my standard package! But if you want to explore a luxury hotel space, your home or an outdoor location for your photoshoot, you can contact me here!

It's as simple as that!

Having a Boudoir photoshoot together is an investment for your relationship - It's a chance to do something adventurous, celebrate your love and intimacy while giving you beautiful keepsakes. If you fancy shaking up date night, then get in contact with me via my contact form here.
